  • This the treehouse of your dreams: The thrum of deep forest silence at night, and the scent of oak rising from the woodwork...... and by day, dappled tree light passing through one of the many windows; and the almost aerial perspective of the rolling deep country view. And then, astonishingly, there is also the delicious comfort of the place - everything works and fits exquisitely...... we are royalty for a night or two, purring with our every last need for warmth, beauty and comfort pandered to....... Thank you to Mark and Tarn and Louis.

  • What a truly beautiful place you have built! The exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail is evident in every square inch, and it all comes together to make a space that exudes a calm and tranquility, which of course is reflected in the idylic surroundings. The amazing light features and furniture have definitely given us some inspiration for designing our own home! We really enjoyed spending time outside in the hammock and around the campfire, and love the way that these elements still feel apart of the house. Everything we needed was to hand and easy to find, and the shower is great! Thanks so much to Tarn and Mark, it was a pleasure meeting you and your various furry and feathered friends (including Mr Peacock who joined us for the BBQ!) We only wish we had booked a longer stay!

  • This is truly the most stunning place. It's simply magical. Everything you need is right here. Tarn made us feel so welcome, and the chocolate brownies, homemade apple juice, and marmalade were delicious ! The view from the balcony is breathtaking, its framed so well in the trees. Having a morning coffee with fresh eggs Tarn gave us, was heaven. The treehouse has been designed so well. Everything has been thoroughly thought through and it works ! We highly recommend The Carpenters Arms in Walterstone, the owners are so welcoming and the home cooking is amazing. We have had the best stay here and would love to come back.

  • Wow wow wow, What an amazing place to have spent our week away! As native Londoners neither of us have ever stayed in a location quite like this, but I know we'll be coming back for more ! We Canoed on the River Wye, explored local surroundings and did the Bodenham circular walk (Would highly recommend). Everything was made sweeter knowing we would be coming back here to BBQ, lay in the hammock or take a long soak in the shower (would also highly recommend!) Tarn and Mark have built something truly special here and we feel very lucky to have called this home for the last few days.

  • From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found a little slice of heaven. The tree house appears at the end of the track like a little secret only you know about. The place flooded with light once you walked in the door, with views that can only be described as exceptional. We throughly enjoyed our stay, and would like to thank Mark and Tarn for their warm hospitality. The little touches such as fresh flowers, welcome drinks and nibbles were all unexpected treats that made our visit all the more welcoming. We hope to visit again, to enjoy more of the local surroundings and explore more of what the area has to offer. Thankyou again Mark and Tarn

  • We've just spent a week at Drovers bough - This place is incredible!!! Every single detail has been so well thought through. We loved the outside space, and made the most of the hammock and the fire pit on the warmer evenings. The Treehouse itself is definitely the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. Is there anything better than waking up with sheep outside your window?! Thanks so much for your hospitality! We cant wait to come back.

  • What a wonderful Treehouse ! We have had the pleasure to have spent the past three nights here. The location speaks for itself - We could not ask to be in a more beautiful setting. We are truly in owe of the local countryside. We have enjoyed walking in the Black Mountains and meandering our way though the fields down to Ewyas Harold a walk we would very much recommend. The Treehouse itself is magnificent. Not only is it beautiful, it is also incredibly functional. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. Thankyou so much for having us we look forward to coming back soon.

  • We have spent 4 nights at this beautiful house in the trees. The house is so well designed, bringing the outside in with all the light from the windows, but keeping all the home comforts that I love [and need ! ] The location is so convenient for exploring Herefordshire, me and Tom enjoyed walking to Longtown, canoeing on the river Wye and following the " black and white" trail. Back at the cabin, we loved spotting our neighbourhood owl and squirrel. Hope to be back soon !

  • Tucked away within the trees this, not so little, treehouse was our escape for 2 nights. Here we found a lucky last minute retreat from the hustle and bustle. Noises from the light scratching of the squirrels in the morning, to the buzzing of the bees on the balcony and then the silence that runs across the fields as you lay in the hammock in the evening. I truly needed this break and found everything I needed at Drovers' Bough. There really is everything you require and every detail has been immaculately planned. Day 1. Evening BBQ in the sun with visit from a lovely dog ! Day 2. Hiking along Black Hill by the Black Mountains [ recommend ] and then rest in the hammock. Dinner at the Bridge Inn [ very nice ! ] This morning we are very sad to leave but very happy to know that Drovers' Bough is here for us when we next need to duck out and immerse ourselves in the beautiful countryside. Thank you for having us.

  • We came for our minimoon and stayed for 3 nights but can't wait to return again to escape city life and enjoy the surrounding areas. The treehouse itself is warm, cosy and has everything you need with some great little touches from Mark and Tarn - home pressed apple juice, homemade marmalade and some homemade carrot cake. The silence is bliss, the sounds of leaves rustling and squirrels running on the roof all adds to the experience. One of the many peaceful moments for us, was enjoying a brew by the outdoor fire with nothing but the crisp fresh air and crackling of the wood. We are sad to be leaving this morning but are happy knowing that we have found this little gem of a place for when we want to next take time in the peaceful countryside. Thank you once again Mark and Tarn for a truly special and memorable break.
